Evaporative Cooler Stand Calculator

This calculator was designed to help you figure out the length of the legs ("B", "X") and the height of the front ("C") and back ("D") of the roof jack for your evaporative cooler. Please answer the questions below the horizontal line and click the "Calculate" button, this will fill in all of the blanks on the diagram for you. The "Convert Decimal to Fraction" button will take you to a decimal/fraction equivalent chart. Do NOT fill in any of the blanks on the diagram.

If you do not know the roof pitch, use a one foot level (a two foot level can also be used, see not below) to create a horizontal line with one end laying on the roof. Then use your measuring tape to measure the distance from the roof to the 12 inch mark on your level. This measurement will be your roof pitch.

Note: If you are using a two foot level, take your measurement and divide by two.
